2009 Summary

Well... 2009 wasn't that bad of a year was it?

The year started out well with a very nice New Years Seminar in Gothenburg with Ulf Evenås. And some fun events with people being able to touch their toes with their when I was doing koshinage on them!
And a week later I started my fist university course... Studying comics drawing! Not the best of courses, but I got 30 ECTS credits in art. But ofcourse I get stuck with a fever for a whole week in february! But lucky me, I could watch trough all 7 seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer then!
And I had the courage to tell someone a little secret ;) Well, not the biggest secret because I think he already knew...
Aikidowise the year followed with a great seminar in Malmö with Lars Göran Andersson and Jan Hermansson! And around this time I lived on my own for the first time as I rented a flat second hand from a friend going to Japan.
When summer came and I finished my course in art and did my 4th kyu examination and it went well. I decided to stay in uni during the summer doing Drama (7,5 ECTS scores) and english creative writing (15 ECTS scores), also had the time for 3 Uchi Deshi weeks with Lasse!
Other than getting to know new Aikido people and getting a few friends in Karlstad (and losing a few) the summer was nice and warm, espcielly the day we had an aikido demonstration in Sysslebäck!
I think thats the best way to get rid of skin under your feet ;p
And taking a bath in Klarälven to cool down ceased in another week of fever... But hey, another week of Buffy wasn't that bad really!

Autumn came sneaking up on me with a very hectical schedule!
First: a new flat.. Bought, which means.. House loan.
Second: Got into 2 different Litterature courses at Högskolan in Halmstad (7,5 ECTS each) 15 ECTS bussiness economics in Karlstad and 7,5 ECTS of animation (which was one of the most amazing courses I have ever taken so far! And of course, a crush on the teacher! ;) hehe
Third: A very hectucal period of 3 weekends on the go, first down to Gothenburg for the Book fair, the weekend after down to Halmstad for a very well performed Aikido seminar and the third weekend down to Malmö and Copenhagen for a Green Day concert!

All that happening in the middle of renovating the flat, and the autumn turned out rather hectical, and Aikido also got a bit hectical with around 20 kids at each childrens class! Which on the other hand have been extremely fun!

The autumn went past in about the same pace, and christmas came. Ending the year with a surprise examination for 3rd kyu and a Christmas seminar at Arvika Aikido Dojo the year ended quite well.

Now I have no expectations for the new year, I think it will be about the same as the year that has already been, but hey.. I'm gonna rock even harder this year!!!

The End

The end... Is near..er

Oh my, if it was a well good enough day yesterday, then today was just cold enough. I decided to sit inside doing my homework, have actually finnished one of the essays now, and take some indoor photographs.
Waiting for a bit warmer day to actually go outside and take some nice photos, and I am just LOOONGING for summer and all the unexplored woodland paths around mum and dads and all the nice photos I can take then!

I will be adding some of the pictures I took today on deviant art too, after I have edited and made some of them cooler, if there is any need for that ;)
Not because the pictures got bad, but because I like to photoshop pictures!

http://sanna-b.deviantart.com/ (they will be up sometime during this evening and tomorrow).

Those two pictures beeing the exact same picture, just one edited. I don't really think one looks better than the other, I'm just putting it up because I like both of them.
Now I serioulsy have to find a photography course to take during the summer!

I read a very interesting chapter in the animation theory book today, and I have never really thought about that before, but Disney characthers don't morph into stuff, while other cartoon does. One example the book took up was that in Tom and Jerry when they run into walls they turn into coins or something, the only thing Disney would do to Goofy or Donald is if they get inflated or something, but the character still looks the same. Now I have to check that up!
Been watching "The Band Concert" from 1935 and "Betty Boop in Snow White", both brought up in the book "The Sharpest Point - Animation at the end of cinema" and I will just in a bit devour the theory on the Betty Boop film and see if it's worth taking up in the essay.
And talking about essays, I have now finally finnished the one about "The never-ending story" (and thanks Si for looking tHrough it ;) ) and I am pretty pleased with it to be honest!

But first a documentary about "The Dragon Triangle" which is the eastern answer on the Bermudatriangle, aslo they apparently exist on the exakt opposite sides of the earth and even more planes, and boats have disappered there than in the Bermuda triangle and they also have the phenomena of Ghost ships which in Japan is someting very terrible!
Then ofcourse this beeing a UFO "documentary" they say the crew has been abducted! ;)

Well, it could be fun to watch while trying to read a bit, if I can read while having sounds around me, I have for some reason started to be unable to concentrate unless it's really quiet.

Is that a sign I'm growing old???!!!

Good enouhg day

I've had a good enough day as it is today... Got my camera! Woho!

It's an Canon EOS 1000D, not the best camera on the market, but I think it's good enough to start with as I have never been that into photography until the resent years. And with being a student, I think it was expensive enough!

Right now I have just about installed all the "nessecary" programs you need to install to be able to use your camera, going to decide later which ones I'm going to save and which I'm going to uninstall, I still got Photoshop so I think I have coverd my ass kinda good ;)

This was the first (well, actually the 9th, but the first 8 before was just random ones to try what would happen if i pushed something! ;) ) picture I took!
I think it got kinda nice, maybe some editing will make it even better!

Didn't get any time to go out with the snowboard today though and that is bugging me A LOT! Had planned on a few hours out there but I had to go to Torsby instead to get my camera, some food, a bit more clothes and some small stuff so that I will survive the last weeks here. Tonight I will be watching more films and reading some of the animation texts I need to read so that I can finnish up the paper soon. Least one of my teachers accepted the idea of "The Neverending Story" as a good idea for one of the essays.

What makes that film interesting to write about is the fact there is two focalisers. And one of them can't work without the other one, while the first one is very independent, at least compared to the other one.
I think I really sound like a nerd now, but I suppose that's what's happening when you study litterature! ;)

Now I am back to my animation studies, photographying, films etc etc!

Almost over!

Oh, finally, just a few days left of this year! Hope fully 2010 will be a lot better, not that 2009 was a bad year, just my shoulders messing up and so, but nothing really bad happened I think!
Which is amazing!
And I am now looking forward a lot to the new year!

Got my paper back from my 2nd assignment on the Origins of Todays Horror course I'm taking, got a G, but with loads of comments... As usual... Going to start the hardest of the three essays I have to write on that course. Also I got a HUGE one to write on the animation course I've been taking...
O well, I know I will be taking Economics, probably Sci-Fi and Fantasy 2 and Film during the spring, might even learn som Russian, unless I'm going to study that during the summer!
We'll see, the new year is still very open!

Feel real great lying in bed typing this. Came back from Arvika two hours ago from Aikido practise, first time using my hakama, and I'm very glad (and surprised) I didn't slip or fall over or got stuck in any way, and that it still was stuck where it's supposed to sit!
Woho! Go me!

Anecdote: Some one of my friends noticed some week back I had made a "To do before L.A 2012!!!" -list and put on my door and said " You know the film 2012 was just fiction right? The world wont really end..."
Oh my, that made me giggle so badly when I actually saw the film yesterday and realised much of it took place in California (can't remember though if it was San F or L.A !).

Have been watching sooo many films now as I'm staying at my parents for a few weeks..
Among them 2012, Flashbacks of a fool, New Moon, The Bridge to Terabithia, The neverending story, Mirror Mask...
And now I'm soon going to watch the last 45 minutes of "Up"!

And tomorrow I have planned on breaking my legs on the snowboard! Haha!

Does anyone know if you can use wax used for cross country skiing on a snowboard???

Changed my mind... Again

Or, well, not really changed IT, but just changed a bit...

Im thinking of applying to be a nurse in spring semester 2011 instead of fall 2010... And have filmstudies instead. Because I will be doing some sort of nursing studies next semester anyway.

And I think it could be great due to my college year in L.A in 2012 if i can get in there.
So it's not really changed as in "I don't want to do itanymore", just a little, what to say.. Disturbance in the force! ;)
And then I could actually take a year with getting my grades from High School better so that I can be more sure to actually get into the nursing.
Also, when I realised how much work I have to do to even get allowed to get in the states, I almost fainted!
Well, going to start by contacting the abroad-studies faculty at KAU, and see what they say. Maybe we are co.operating with some film school in L.A. Hopefully. Otherwise, filmstudies during the fall will make it easier to get into filmstudies during the summer and maybe to work a bit while doing the nurse studies.

Aww!! I don't know what to do really!
Well, let's stay realistic...
Work with film = haaaard!
Work as nurse = Easier!

Well, we'll see.

Right now I'm so looking forward to next fall anyway.

Oh, and here comes my christmas present list!
1. Systemcamera
2. Videocamera
3. MacComputer (with iStopMotion & Final Cut Express 4)
4. Animation table
5. Glass for my light table + a new fluorescent lamp for it)
6. Animation table
7. New flat screen TV
8. Stuff to upgrade my computer

Well, yeah that's it. Unless I get one, I will buy my Mac in USA thought because they cost like 3000 kronor less there. But I really feel like I want one so I can continue to animate away as much as I want.
Really whet one's appetite for animation right now!
So back to it!
